Waste compactors are the perfect solution for large volumes of waste. We provide both static and portable waste compactors for hire in and around the Lancaster, Morecambe and Kendal area. Our recycling solutions page will show you what waste types you can place in a compactor.

Static Compactors

These have a compactor section which must be bolted to a concrete base. The waste container is the only part which needs to be removed for emptying. Static compactors can work with larger types of waste container than the portable ones and will therefore hold more waste.

Portable Compactors

Compactor and container come together as one unit. When it needs emptying the whole unit must be removed. These are more suited where space is limited.

Larger Volumes of Waste

Refuse or recycled material is reduced in volume from 100% to 15-25% - a compaction ratio of more than 4 to 1.

Increased Payload

Due to the compacting force of more than 19 tonnes, the waste takes up much less space, considerably reducing haulage costs.

Environmental Care

There is less waste spillage and reduced windblown material compared to other waste collection methods. The enclosed nature of the unit keeps out vermin & flies and insects are discouraged as bad smells are minimised.

Security

Compactors can be locked when not in use. Used in conjunction with Eurobins, tipping skips, conveyors, air systems or simply loaded manually, compactors are a very cost effective and safe method for handling waste.
